The start of the season

Hi there,
Both cars are all put back together and finished and had a practice in them the last 2 Saturdays.  The practices went really well.  Below is a pic of both cars.  The first race meeting is on the 13th October and I only have to finish off the trailer and were all ready to go.  I'd like to thank all my sponsors for geting me out there once again.

Off Season Update No. 2

Hi there.

Just another quick update on the two cars. The old car is up for sale on Trademe and Macgors. Getting some good response, would be nice if it sells before the season starts.
The new car is fully stripped and geting new bumpers & side rails. The body, bonnet and wing went to the signwriter yeasterday. The chassis will be of to the painters on Monday.
Our first practice is on the 8th of September!
I'll be tacking the old car to give her a run just to make sure it turns corners then the new car at the 2nd practice.

Thanks, Boris Racing

Off Season Update

Had our end of season dinner to thank our sponsors and crew.  The turn out was good.  I haven't even touched the new car yet as I'm still concentrating on getting my old car fixed and ready for sale.  Finished the steel work on the chassis three weeks ago, mounted the new body and bonnet and finished painting the chassis two weeks ago.  Hopefully the engine will be done by next week and we can have it on the market by the end of the month so I can get onto the new car!

The season is over

Well Battle of the Stocks started of with a bang, drew Simon Joblin as a partner for the weekend.  First race got spun in first corner but went from last to 11th, the car was hooking up good!  Second race got put up the wall got a left rear flat, finished 21st.  Simon and I were 3rd on points going into last race, was having a few problems with the engine and then realised that it had broken a cam, so that was our meeting over for the weekend.

We had a busy week in the shed and got the engine up and running for the next weekend, it was the Open Club Champs and Best Pairs, the car was running really well, didn't get into the top 3 in the Club Champs but was happy anyway because the car was going great.  My uncle Garry drove the car on the Best Pairs night, he was paired with Dale McKenzie and they finished 2nd overall.

We headed back to Christchurch for their Easter Champs.  The first 2 races went well and was going into the last race 3rd on points and starting on pole, unfortunatly I had electrical problems and dnf that race but still finished 5th overall.

We went to Greymouth for King of the Coast to make sure we got rid of the electrical problem seen as it was the end off the season.  The electrical problem was gone and I got two 1st and a 2nd wining the King of the Coast for that season.

It was good to finish the season on a high seen as we have got two cars to rebuild for next season as the first practice is only 5 months away!

Thanks Boris Racing

The start of the season

Well what can I say there has been some ups and downs so far this season, we hadn't finished the new car for the start of the season and the old car hadn't sold yet so I raced the old car until Christmas.  It was all going well we done two teams races against Christchurch they won one and we won the other.  I had done four meetings in the old car then one of the guys I race with rode up the side of the car when I was blocking and broke the cam gear off the front of the engine, so that was the end of that but the only good thing that came out of that was the next meeting I was debuting the new car.  I've done four meetings in the new car and its getting better every time I drive it.  I even got to hold the chequered flag last meeting!  Next meeting is Battle of the Stocks in Christchurch.

I'd like to thank all my sponsors for their help in getting the new car on the track
