Well Battle of the Stocks started of with a bang, drew Simon Joblin as a partner for the weekend. First race got spun in first corner but went from last to 11th, the car was hooking up good! Second race got put up the wall got a left rear flat, finished 21st. Simon and I were 3rd on points going into last race, was having a few problems with the engine and then realised that it had broken a cam, so that was our meeting over for the weekend.
We had a busy week in the shed and got the engine up and running for the next weekend, it was the Open Club Champs and Best Pairs, the car was running really well, didn't get into the top 3 in the Club Champs but was happy anyway because the car was going great. My uncle Garry drove the car on the Best Pairs night, he was paired with Dale McKenzie and they finished 2nd overall.
We headed back to Christchurch for their Easter Champs. The first 2 races went well and was going into the last race 3rd on points and starting on pole, unfortunatly I had electrical problems and dnf that race but still finished 5th overall.
We went to Greymouth for King of the Coast to make sure we got rid of the electrical problem seen as it was the end off the season. The electrical problem was gone and I got two 1st and a 2nd wining the King of the Coast for that season.
It was good to finish the season on a high seen as we have got two cars to rebuild for next season as the first practice is only 5 months away!
